Introducing one of my personal favourites, the traditional Lithuanian delicacy "Zemaiciu Pancake."

This dish is prepared with the utmost care and attention to detail, making it a true labour of love. The filling is made from a blend of creamy mashed potatoes and succulent pork mince, the potato exterior is pan-fried to achieve a delicate crispy outside. It is then elevated by the addition of a rich mushroom sauce and a dollop of sour cream, creating the perfect balance of flavours. The final touch of fresh dill adds a subtle yet distinct herbal note that brings the dish to life.

Heating Instructions

As our food is hand-made by our chefs, these reheating instructions are a guide. Check your food is piping hot throughout before serving.

❄️ FROM CHILLED

MICROWAVE: Remove the lid and place it loosely on the container. Place on a microwaveable plate and heat on full power for 3-4 minutes or until piping hot and stand for 1 minute.

OVEN: Preheat oven to 180°C (Gas Mark 5). Remove the lid and any outer packaging. Place on a baking tray at the top of the oven for 20 minutes or until piping hot.

❄️ ❄️ FROM FROZEN

MICROWAVE: Remove the lid and place it loosely on the container. Place on a microwaveable plate and heat on full power for 7-8 minutes or until piping hot and stand for 1 minute.

OVEN: Preheat oven to 180°C (Gas Mark 5). Remove the lid and any outer packaging. Place on a baking tray at the top of the oven for 35 minutes or until piping hot.

Lithuanian Kitchen

I've loved cooking since I was young and it has been a source of confidence for me as well as a creative outlook. Since being in the UK, I've adapted my recipes to cater to the local taste buds, fusing Lithuanian food culture with the British palate. This makes me happy as it allows me to share my country's cuisine with the country I have grown to love.

Love trying all this Lithuanian food for the first time. I’ve been pleasantly surprised and this is no exceptions. This has good flavor and would pick up again. Portion is small.

Disappointing!

I was so looking forward to trying this dish so was disappointed when it didn't come up to expectations. The portion was very large but it was virtually all mashed potatoes and hardly any meat at all. I looked for the meat because I couldn't taste it and it was very sparse. There was no sign of the mushroom sauce and I hadn't thought to get any sour cream in to finish the dish off. All in all I was very disappointed and won't be trying it again.

First time trying lithuanian cuisine and this dish was a great introduction. Very filling and full of flavour. The pancakes were very soft with a good amount of filling. I added a dollop of crème fraîche which complimented the dish very well.

Has been one of my favourite dishes for a long time. The blend of potato and meat is delicious. I have this as a regular on my subscription

Never had anything like this before so was a bit worried I wouldn't like it I was so wrong I loved it
