Best one we have ever had

We've bought them from various supermarkets and online, nothing even has come close. Delicious tender meat, great pastry. We would have liked a bit more pate, but still the best ever. Please keep it on the menu, ordering another today.

Bags of flavour

I baked it from chilled for the recommended 35 minutes, and it came out well. The pastry was not really puff pastry, more firm shortcrust, and the beef was medium as I prefer ( I checked with Thermopen to confirm 60 degrees C). The beef was tender, and the combination of chicken liver pate and Parma ham provided robust flavours. It didn't occur to me to do an egg wash on the pastry, it wasn't in the instructions, so it was all a bit pale.
