A hearty and flavourful meal in a bowl, this dish combines tender shredded pork with a zesty Mexican-style rice. The pork is slowly simmered until fall-apart tender. Topped with rice, tomato, garlic, salt, herbs, chilli, onion, coriander, pickled onion, chilli flakes, vinegar, water, pineapple, beans, pork, achiote, and black pepper. Each bite delivers rich and complex flavours with just the right kick of heat. Satisfying and full of authentic Mexican flair.

Heating Instructions

As our food is hand-made by our chefs, these reheating instructions are a guide. Check your food is piping hot throughout before serving.

❄️ FROM CHILLED

MICROWAVE: Remove lid and place loosely on the container. Place on a microwaveable plate and heat on full power for 4-5 minutes. Halfway through heating, add 2 tablespoons of water to rice and stir contents together. Re-cover and continue heating. Heat until piping hot and stand for 1 minute.

OVEN: Preheat oven to 180°C (Gas Mark 5). Remove lid and any outer packaging. Place on a baking tray at the top of oven for 20 minutes or until piping hot.

❄️ ❄️ FROM FROZEN

MICROWAVE: Remove lid and place loosely on the container. Place on a microwaveable plate and heat on full power for 7-8 minutes. Halfway through heating, add 2 tablespoons of water to rice and stir contents together. Re-cover and continue heating. Heat until piping hot and stand for 1 minute.

OVEN: Preheat oven to 180°C (Gas Mark 5). Remove lid and any outer packaging. Place on a baking tray at the top of oven for 30 minutes or until piping hot.

I cook because we truly enjoy our own food. I have found joy for myself in cooking and discovered how easily you can share that joy by seeing people relishing our food. It's truly rewarding. We also want people to taste authentic Mexican food and feel as if they were eating from a “Taqueria” in Mexico.

Flavours still great and love the rice. The beans were sooooo spicy this time. I can handle decent amount of heat but woo I couldn't finish some of it. We added chopped lettuce, onion and tomato.
