We're very happy serving you this savoury stew or "paprikás csirke nokedlivel" as we call it in Hungary. This dish is a classic comfort food that has been passed down through generations of Hungarian families. Chicken is marinated in paprika and braised to make a hearty stew which we serve over our homemade potato dumplings (similar to gnocchi). We would recommend garnishing with some chopped parsley and serving with sour cream. Enjoy!

Heating Instructions

As our food is hand-made by our chefs, these reheating instructions are a guide. Check your food is piping hot throughout before serving.

❄️ FROM CHILLED

MICROWAVE: Remove the lid and place it loosely on the container. Place on a microwaveable plate and heat on full power for 4-5 minutes. Halfway through heating, add 2 tablespoons of water to the dumplings and stir the contents together. Re-cover and continue heating. Heat until piping hot and stand for 1 minute.

OVEN: Preheat oven to 180°C (Gas Mark 5). Remove the lid and any outer packaging. Place on a baking tray at the top of the oven for 20 minutes or until piping hot. Mix well and stand for 1 minute before serving.

❄️ ❄️ FROM FROZEN

Gulyás Garden

My love for cooking and socialising has often lead me to having lots of guests round holding dinner parties. They loved my food so much that I started my own food business called Gulyás Garden, specialising in Hungarian cuisine. I primarily cook traditional Hungarian food, like stews, stuffed cabbage, fish soup, vegetable sauces and breaded meats. These dishes are well known for warming the belly and the soul.

Nice portion, but only came with one drumstick. Dish looks different from the image so was a bit surprised but has a nice taste..

This was such a comfort food. Hearty, flavourfull and great portion size (large). Good ratio of dumplings and meat. I love hungarian food and this ticks all the boxes. Very authentic taste.
