Simple and nutritious Dal Chawal (Yellow Lentil with Rice and Chilli/Mango Pickel) is my favorite dish to have. This recipe also takes me back to my childhood, when I spent summer vacations at my Granny's house in Meerut, and Dal Chawal was our everyday staple lunch there, unlike today's spoilt-for-choice generation.

Art & Science of Cooking Biryani always enthralled me. Biryani is my favourite meal to cook because of its different regional variants, the complexities that I learnt while travelling around India, and the pure delight of those who eat it. My personal favorite is Lucknow's Awadh Biryani.

Never mentioned this before anywhere else. But I'm incredibly proud of myself for passing on my skills to those who actually needed them and after learning they made living out of cooking. Back in India, I introduced underprivileged young girls to Italian cuisines and trained them to make Pizzas and Pasta for their cafe startup.
